While studying Communications at Castleton another hobby developed besides music and photography; writing and reading. During my studies, i've taken multiple news writing classes as well as public relations and media writing courses amongst many others. Jeff Weld (pictured above), was the subject of a profile story written for the Castleton Spartan over the course of last semester. It was abot Jeff's time at Castleton, being an athletic star to now becoming the "voice of Castleton" as the Director of Marketing and Communications for the college. The story received praise from all over and put my name on the map as a writer. The story was a tough one to write because during the time I had spent with Jeff, he was dealing with the pregnancy of his wife. It has been my greatest accomplishment as a writer so far in my career, and it was a true privilege to write the story.

Stories and Ads:

 

As mentioned, I've taken many different writing classes and have experienced the subject in many different forms. Some of my skills include media writing, sports writing, script writing, and advertisement writing. One thing i've become more accustomed to is writing for ads for use on-air, and writing for on air segments, whether it's radio or TV.  Classes such as Broadcast performance and TV & Radio programming have shaped my knowledge of how media is performed every day.
